Paul Chamberlain's Photography

I occasionally dabble in photography. I like to try to be artistic. I don't know if anyone else will like these artistic attempts but I'm a bit proud of them anyway.

When I first bought my 35mm camera, I had some good luck. This was one of my experiments. I was watching the Thunderbirds and following them with my camera waiting for a good shot. They flew directly over me and I took this picture as the sun came into the frame.

While visiting my Father-in-law, I strolled around his plot of land, looking for some interesting subject-matter to take a picture of. I noticed these tiny perfect mushrooms and got down on the ground to get a nice angle on them.

This is another picture taken on one of my first few rolls of film. Walking around the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth, the sun hit a fountain from behind and inspired me.

The family across the street has a daughter that is a cheerleader and, I gather, is well liked. Regularly, her friends come and T.P. the house. One morning in July of 1997, I woke up in the middle of the night and was awestruck by this site. The thoroughness of the wrapping combined with a timed exposure lit only by the street light made for an eery image. I call it The Perils of Popularity.

Some look at this and say "It's blurry" or "There's someone in the background". Actually, that's my son Michael and our dog Bear. In my attempts to be imaginative, I decided to not focus on my subject.
